Edward E. Gordon, Ph.D., is an internationally recognized professional historian, researcher, and author. For 20 years Dr. Gordon taught at DePaul, Loyola, and Northwestern Universities in Chicago. He has made presentations over the last 20 years at museums, colleges, universities, conferences, and to professional associations and community organizations.
Ed Gordon is the author or co-author of 16 books in the fields of history, business, and education including Literacy in America (Praeger, 2003), a comprehensive history of U.S. literacy; Centuries of Tutoring (University Press of America, 1990), which explores widespread use of tutoring throughout the history of childhood in the Western world; and The 2010 Meltdown (Praeger, 2005), in which today's workforce issues are viewed from the perspective of a historical economist.
